Welcome to Peterborough Playgoers Society
This amateur dramatic society, generally known as just ‘Playgoers’, has
been based in the city since 1935.
We currently perform two productions per year in Peterborough’s Key
Theatre Studio on the Embankment and with a host of other activities
and monthly social events, there is much to keep the membership
occupied.
We are very proud of our achievements over the decades and 2025
marks our 90 th anniversary. Planning is underway for some celebratory
events, details of which will be released when finalised.
The picture above and left shows the Director Jennie Deighton and stage manager David Edwards receiving one of the awards presented by the NODA president. Playgoers won Best drama for the eastern region with Cats Cradle and best Technical award for Relatively Speaking.
We are trying to contact all members and past members and those who have been part of us to celebrate our 9oth Anniversary.
Please see below the poster for our Gala Dinner and application form above if you would like to attend.
